Application Fit and Material Behaviour

PPR fittings are specified where potable water quality, corrosion resistance and long service life matter. The material handles both cold potable water and hot water circuits, including heating distribution, without the scaling and electrochemical corrosion issues associated with metal systems.

• Building water supply and drainage — risers, floor distribution and fixture connections in residential, commercial and institutional buildings.
• Hot water and heating systems — PP-RCT grades extend the pressure/temperature envelope for higher-temperature circuits.
• Municipal and rural water networks — buried distribution lines where fusion joints reduce leak paths.
• Industrial process water — non-aggressive fluid transfer where chemical inertness is an advantage.

Fittings are produced from the same resin family as our pipes, so thermal expansion behaviour and fusion parameters remain consistent across the whole assembly. ZHSU operates a CNAS-certified national laboratory and applies full-process monitoring from raw material procurement to finished product delivery. Every batch of goods undergoes sampling tests, and production inspections are carried out at regular intervals to measure and check relevant data. The quality inspection department performs additional checks at different stages.

Installation, Maintenance and Serviceability

PPR fittings are joined by heat fusion, which produces a homogeneous, permanent bond without gaskets or adhesives. Correct fusion temperature, heating time and insertion depth are the critical variables; we provide welding guidance matched to each size and material grade.

• Fusion welding — socket fusion for pipe-to-fitting joints; threaded ends for transitions to metal components.
• Unions and valves — demountable or operable components placed at accessible locations for maintenance.
• Spare parts — standard fittings and valve components can be supplied for maintenance stock.
• Service life — our products carry a 50-year warranty period under the stated service conditions.

Because the joint is fused rather than mechanically sealed, the system has no elastomer gaskets to degrade in hot water service. This reduces long-term maintenance compared with gasketed or threaded metal systems.

Typical delivery time is 15 days, subject to the order list and current production schedule. Regular pipes and pipe fittings are held in sufficient inventory, so there is no MOQ requirement for standard items; MOQ for pipes varies by size. We confirm transaction terms at quotation stage and keep customers updated on production progress at regular intervals.
