Shanghai Zhongsu Pipe Co., Ltd. is one of China's experienced HDPE Pipes and Fittings Manufacturers, producing HDPE fittings as part of a complete polyethylene piping system, supplying butt fusion, socket fusion, electrofusion and compression ranges alongside HDPE pipe. Our fittings connect, redirect, branch and terminate PE80/PE100 pipelines in municipal water supply, natural gas distribution, sewage discharge, agricultural irrigation and industrial fluid transfer.
Because we produce both pipe and fittings, dimensional compatibility, material grade and jointing method are controlled as one system rather than assembled from separate supply chains. Our HDPE FITTING manufacturer range covers DN20 to DN1200, with pressure ratings from PN10 to PN16 depending on type and size.
Our HDPE Fitting Range
We group HDPE fittings by jointing method, because the welding or mechanical system determines where a fitting can be installed, which pipe sizes it suits and what site equipment is required. Each range below is produced from virgin PE80 or PE100 resin and inspected against the same dimensional and pressure criteria.
Socket Fusion HDPE Fittings
For small to medium pipe, typically below 110 mm. Couplings, elbows, tees, reducers, end caps, stub ends, threaded adapters and ball valves.
Size 20–63 mm · PN1.6 MPa · PE100 · brass inserts · BSP/NPT threads
Butt Fusion HDPE Fittings
For DN63 and above. Monolithic welded joints for high-pressure municipal water, gas and industrial infrastructure.
Size 63–1200 mm · PN1.0–PN1.6 MPa · PE100 · ISO 4427 / EN 12201
Electrofusion HDPE Fittings
Built-in heating coils for confined spaces, repair work and gas networks where controlled fusion is preferred.
Size 63–1200 mm · PN10 gas / PN16 water · −20 °C to +40 °C · ISO 4427 / EN 1555
Compression HDPE Fittings
Mechanical jointing without heat for service connections, irrigation laterals and rapid field assembly.
Selected sizes · reusable · no welding equipment required
Function Types and Where They Fit
Within each jointing range we supply the standard functional families that a pipeline designer specifies. Straight runs use couplings and reducers; direction changes use 45° and 90° elbows; branch connections use equal and reducing tees; terminations use end caps and stub ends; transitions to metal or threaded equipment use male and female adapters; flow isolation uses ball valves. Saddle fittings and repair couplings support live-network intervention.
| Fitting family | Typical function | Common jointing method | Application notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coupling / reducing coupling | Straight pipe connection, diameter change | Socket, butt, electrofusion | Water mains, gas distribution, irrigation |
| Elbow 45° / 90° | Direction change | Socket, butt, electrofusion | Buried networks, plant piping, pump rooms |
| Equal / reducing tee | Branch connection | Socket, butt, electrofusion | Distribution networks, manifolds |
| End cap / stub end | Termination, flanged transition | Socket, butt, electrofusion | Tank connections, valve tie-ins |
| Threaded adapter | PE-to-metal transition | Socket fusion with brass insert | Meters, pumps, valves, small-bore services |
| Saddle / repair fitting | Branch on live main, repair | Electrofusion | Service connections, maintenance |
Material and Specification Control
Our HDPE fittings are moulded from 100% imported virgin PE80 or PE100 resin. PE100 provides higher minimum required strength and better resistance to slow crack growth, which matters for buried mains under traffic loading and for gas networks. We do not use reprocessed material in pressure-rated fittings.
- Size range: DN20 to DN1200 across the full fitting programme.
- Pressure ratings: PN10 to PN16, selected by size, jointing method and medium.
- Standards: DIN 16963, ISO 4427-3, EN 12201 and EN 1555 for gas applications.
- Threads: BSP and NPT on threaded adapters, with brass inserts.
- Colour: black and blue as standard, with batch identification.
Wall thickness, socket depth, heating-coil resistance and ovality are checked as part of in-process inspection. Fittings are dimensionally matched to our own HDPE pipe, so a specified DN size and SDR produces a compatible joint without field adjustment.
Application Fit
HDPE fittings suit systems where corrosion resistance, flexibility and long service life outweigh the rigidity of metal. The material is chemically inert across a wide range of fluids and does not rust, scale or support galvanic corrosion.
- Municipal water supply and drainage: buried mains, distribution branches and service connections.
- Natural gas distribution: electrofusion and butt fusion joints for leak-tight networks.
- Sewage and wastewater: large-diameter underground drainage and treatment plant piping.
- Agricultural irrigation: field laterals, pump connections and rural water network renovation.
- Industrial fluid transfer: chemical, cooling water and process lines where inertness is required.
For projects that also require hot-water or building services piping, our PPR FITTING range covers the complementary pressure and temperature duties within the same supply scope.
Jointing, Installation and Site Support
Joint quality in an HDPE system depends on matching the fitting to the correct welding procedure. We confirm the intended jointing method at quotation stage so that fittings, pipe SDR and site equipment are consistent.
- Socket fusion: pipe end and fitting socket are heated and inserted to form a homogeneous joint, typically for pipe below 110 mm.
- Butt fusion: pipe ends are faced, heated and pressed together for DN63 and above, producing a joint stronger than the pipe body.
- Electrofusion: current is applied to embedded coils, which suits confined trenches, repair work and controlled gas installations.
- Compression: mechanical assembly without heat for service and irrigation connections.
We supply installation guidance covering heating times, insertion depth, cooling periods and pressure testing. For larger projects, our technical team reviews isometric drawings and joint schedules before production so that the delivered fitting set matches the installed configuration.
Quality Assurance and Acceptance
Production runs under a full-process control system from raw material intake to finished goods release. Shanghai Zhongsu Pipe Co., Ltd. holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification, and operates a CNAS-accredited laboratory for material and product testing.
- Sampling tests on every production batch.
- Routine in-process inspection at fixed intervals during moulding.
- Dimensional, pressure and appearance checks by the quality department.
- Factory inspection reports available as quality documentation for delivered lots.
Acceptance documentation is prepared against the agreed specification, including standard reference, size, pressure rating and material grade. Where a project requires third-party or client witness testing, we coordinate the inspection schedule with the buyer's representative.
Customisation, Packaging and Delivery
We manufacture custom HDPE fittings and support OEM and ODM supply for distributors and project contractors. Non-standard dimensions, special branch angles, specific colour requirements and private-label packaging can be produced against approved drawings or samples.
Fittings are packed in transparent plastic bags in specified quantities and placed in dedicated cartons. Pipe is bundled and wrapped in woven bags. Packaging quantities, carton marking and pallet configuration are confirmed with the order so that goods arrive ready for site issue or warehouse storage.
Our monthly supply capacity reaches dozens of full containers. Standard delivery is typically around 15 days, with the final schedule depending on the order list and current production loading. We keep sufficient inventory of regular pipes and fittings to support repeat and mixed orders.
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
To prepare an accurate fitting configuration and quotation, we work from the project data below. Where a full bill of materials is not yet available, an isometric drawing or joint schedule is enough for us to build the fitting list.
| Input | What we confirm |
|---|---|
| Medium and application | Water, gas, sewage, irrigation or industrial fluid; material grade and pressure rating |
| Pipe size and SDR | Fitting DN range, socket dimensions and wall thickness compatibility |
| Jointing method | Socket, butt, electrofusion or compression range selection |
| Fitting schedule | Types, quantities, branch angles, reducers and threaded transitions |
| Operating conditions | Working pressure, temperature range and burial or above-ground installation |
| Trade terms and delivery | FOB, CIF, CNF or other terms; destination port and required schedule |
For a complete system quotation, combine the fitting schedule with our HDPE PIPE range so that pipe and fittings are supplied to the same specification and delivered together.
Maintenance, Spare Parts and Serviceability
HDPE fittings require no painting, cathodic protection or scheduled replacement under normal operating conditions. The welded joint becomes part of the pipeline, so maintenance focuses on valve operation, flange inspection and periodic pressure testing rather than fitting replacement.
When repair is needed, electrofusion saddle fittings, repair couplings and end caps allow intervention on an existing main. We supply replacement fittings in the original specification and can match historical sizes for network extensions or rehabilitation projects.
